Castletreasure Housing Development Greenwalls

Datum BCE was tasked with constructing a greenwall for the Castletreasure Housing Development, an innovative project by Cairn, Ireland’s largest home builder. Located in a major development area, the greenwall serves as an eco-friendly solution for building retaining walls, stabilising slopes, and controlling erosion. This project involved constructing soil-retaining green walls, which reached up to 9 meters in height, and were finished with a wildflower seeding face. This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also supports local biodiversity. The construction also facilitated the utilisation of site-won fill materials, further emphasising sustainability in building practices.
